Cade Carter went to school registration and met his new 2nd grade teacher, Glen Daniels, this morning. It appears that Ms. Glen will have her hands full this year with all the boys in her class. Cade Carter had several buddies from last year in his room. There were also several that he's never been acquainted with and I feel like this will be good for him. I told him it is always a great idea to make new friends in addition to his old friends. I see girls teaming up and becoming best buddies leaving others out. I STRESS to him NOT to do this. I remember this as a child (yes, I admit I've done it too.) I see it as an adult too, and I tell Cade Carter that he will not see some of his old friends as much because they are in different classrooms. As I sit back and watch him it reminds me of so many friends that I've failed to keep in touch with over the years and how in one's lifetime, friends tend to come and go. I guess the moral to my story is friendships may fade for awhile, but they always find their way back and grow even stronger! I'm so glad I HAVE BOYS!!!
