Mountains like these were everywhere!
This is the new bridge recently built-one side is Nevada, the other side is Arizona.
The tunnel behind us is where Chevy Chase stood in the movie "National Lampoons Vacation" not to mention many other movies were filmed here too.
In January, Hank had his annual "Yearbook Conference" and it just so happened to be in Las Vegas. Guess who got an airplane ticket and went along???? Yep, ME! This was the first time we had been this far out West and needless to say it was quite an experience. We stayed at a very nice resort (It had a Starbucks) I was one happy camper. Being in the desert was a true experience within itself. We rented a car one day and drove to the Hoover Dam. It was amazing, not to mention beautiful. We never made it to the Grand Canyon, but our pilot was nice enough to let us know when we were flying over it. I couldn't believe my eyes! I want to take the boys back in a few years and go through it with them. If you've never been out to Las Vegas, I highly recommend it. This country girl loved it!
