BACK TO SCHOOL!

Is it Back to School Already? It was just the other day when Cade Carter was screaming "OUT FOR SUMMER!" I've kept Cade Carter so BUSY this summer with Vacation Bible Schools, baseball camp and Camp Invention because we did not go on a summer vacation this year. (AND NO I DON'T FEEL GUILTY BECAUSE we are going to Disney World in October. ) Hank and I opted to go away alone on a cruise this year to Cozumel this summer because we knew that come October, off to Orlando we go! Besides all the comings and goings all summer, we've had a wonderful sitter at home for the boys. Amy David, who will be a freshman this year at Tipton Rosemark Academy, has helped us out so much. We all adore her and she's been a blessing to my family all summer. The kids have been a challenge for her some days so hopefully she'll be back next summer!

BOYS=4WHEELERS

It was promotion Sunday at church today. Cade Carter had a class on lighting the acolytes and being the crucifier at church. He will now participate during Worship with all his fellow Second Graders. He thought he was so BIG now being able to participate!On another note, my other big boy "Cam" took a ride on the Wild Side today with his 4-wheeler. Cade Carter handed down his 4-wheeler to Cam and it scares me to death! As you can see in the picture-Cam has no worries-UNLIKE MOM! He actually did remarkably well and I'm sure he will continue to ride (only when Dad's home.)

Today was a LAZY day with the children! The only outing we had was to Starbucks today! Cade Carter begged for coffee this morning so off to Starbucks we went! Cade Carter wanted a decaff Caramel Frappaccinno while I of course had my usual Latte! We went home and baked brownies today and made the boys favorite food, LASAGNE!!! They love to cook in the kitchen with Mom. I think it's really important to teach them to cook with your family. It always brings us closer especially when everyone is sharing the same spoon to lick up the leftover brownie mixture!! LOL!!! Hank was so surprised when he came home from work to have a great meal prepared by the boys!

SOS-Save our Starbucks!

As many of you already know, I am your true coffee addict. Not sure why I am, it could be that my MOM gave it to me when I was growing up whenever I wanted it but I am definitely a coffee junkie..Let me be more specific TRIPLE GRANDE EXTRA HOT NON FAT CARAMEL MACCHIATO. Camden can even order it for me when we go thru the drive thru at Starbucks. My boys enjoy coffee almost as much as I do but I limit them to once a month! I was so upset when I heard our Covington Starbucks has been told from corporate they will be closing! I immediately sent letters to the CEO and President of the company. I even had family and friends do the same. Well Thursday, I made my debut in the Commercial Appeal with comments I made about the store closing and such. Everyone's been calling me asking me what am I going to do? I'm still holding out hope they will not close but it's not looking good. Why take something good away from us in Tipton County? Next it will be our movie theater...

An attempt to share my thoughts...

Being a Career Mom, it is so hard to find time for everything. Don't get me wrong, I love my job, but with the children's activities there is hardly any time for "dear old Mom". So why have I decided to have my own blog? Do I really have time for this? I'm hoping to reach family and friends whom I seldom talk to and keep them informed of what's going on in our life! Hopefully this will be fun and entertaining to some! Stay Tuned...
