More All Stars

T-Ball Covington All Stars

Nick Tindall is the Covington T-Ball Coach and he's done a great job with these boys.  Every time Cam was up to bat, Coach Nick would say "let me see those muscles!"  The first time Nick said that to Cam, he put his bat on the ground and held up his arm and made a muscle.  It was hilarious!  We placed 2nd place in T-ball and go play district Thursday night, July 1st in Munford.  Cross your fingers that we will win again!

He hath made His wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.   Psalm 111:4

The End of a long summer day!

This was ane end to a long summer day...both boys sit in their Daddy's chair to watch TV at the end of the day and this is what happens... Sweet dreams!

The Beginning of All Stars

Our 1st all star game started this past Thursday Night against Brighton and we won!  Come Friday night it was a very intense game and we lost by 1 run against Dyersburg.  We played the same team tonight (Saturday the 26th) and WE WON!!!  We go to play district next weekend and hopefully everyone can be proud that their Covington All Stars could be #1!!!!  We are all so proud of Camden!

Go Camden #7!

Summer Vacation Week 3

This week both boys attended Fitness Camp at our church.  Jaime Hunter along with my niece, Brittney, worked the kiddos like it was no tomorrow.  Every day the kids would drop by the bank after camp and they would be dripping of sweat.  Cade Carter told me "Hey Mama, can't you tell I'm getting a six pack!"
The last day of camp was spent going to Pump It Up to release more of that energy!!  They all had a blast!  Thanks Jaime & Britt for your dedication to these kiddos!

I have finally mastered the bread!

My family absolutely loves the Rosemary Bread from Macaroni Grill.  I've tried to make the bread several times and I've bombed every time...but BY GEORGE I THINK I'VE GOT IT!!!

1tablespoon yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup warm water
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons rosemary -I use the fresh rosemary from my (what's left of it) herb garden...
2 tablespoons butter

Place yeast, sugar and water in large bowl or food processor and allow mixture to become bubbly.
Mix in 1 T butter, salt, and 2 cups of flour.
Add one tablespoon of the fresh chopped rosemary.
Knead for about 10 minutes by hand or in food processor about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
add more flour if necessary.
Oil a bowl, put dough in it and cover with a towel.
Let dough rise in a warm place for one hour until doubled.
Punch down dough and divide in half.
Let dough rest about 5 minutes.
Spray baking pan or cookie sheet with cooking spray.
Shape the dough into 2 small rounded oval loaves.
Sprinkle remaining 1 Tablespoon of rosemary over the loaves and press lightly into the surface.
Let loaves rise again until doubled, about 45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until lightly browned.
Carefully remove from oven, brush with remaining butter (and salt if desired.).

I of course mix the olive oil and cracked black pepper together and make it into a dipping sauce.  Make sure you use an upper scale of olive oil...the cheap stuff doesn't do it justice!

Courtney Wilson's Wedding and Festivities

I have enjoyed so much being apart of the wedding festivities for Courtney Wilson over the past few months.  Courtney is going to make Grady an excellent wife!  The above pic is a shower that was given at my house.

In earlier posts, I mentioned about the candy station that I've been working on for months for Courtney's wedding. Well last night was the BIG EVENT and the wedding was absolutely beautiful...and the candy station was a huge success!

Happy Father's Day!

Look-Cam is swimming under water!!!  Go CAM!!!

We went for a visit to Papa Sam's house the weekend before Fathers Day...as you can see everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.  We all think it's great that Papa Sam & Mama Linda have such an awesome pool!

Awana 2009-2010

I am proud to announce that both my boys have completed year 2 of Awana at Oak Grove Baptist Church.  They both have learned even more Bible verses this year and learned to always live the way God expects us too.  They both receive certificates for their achievements!

Baseball/Spring 2010

As you can see in the top picture above "Daddy Hank" assisted Mr. Rusty in coaching Cade Carter's team this year.  This was the 1st year of "Kid Pitch" for Cade Carter, therefore, it was somewhat different for him.  Cade Carter started out catching but toward the end of the season he was pitching...Cade Carter did AWESOME!!!  I definitely see him pitching more next year.

As for Camden's team-they came in 2nd in the T-ball league.  Mr. Ryan Howard (not pictured) was his coach this year and he learned so much!  Cam has definitely improved since last year...he's improved so much that he was chosen for all stars.  As everyone knows, sports is not my my forte, therefore, this is ALL NEW for me.  Cam was chosen on a Tuesday night and practice began the next day (they don't play!)  So for the next few weeks it's nothing but tournaments, practices and last but not least
ALL STARS

I am so proud of you Camden-you may be little but you are one fast DUDE!  Now make some more of those homeruns like you've been doing!

Crazy Hat Day

It was crazy hat day at camp invention-check out Cam's hat...

Summer Vacation Week 2/Camp Invention

This week the kiddos went to Camp Invention at Crestview.  They both had an awesome time inventing new things!
                                                            Cam made an avatar!
Cam & his buddy Aiden Griggs.

Cade Carter made an invention that cut paper...(no it wasn't scissors)  but it was a motorized propeller that cut paper.

They had a program on the last day where the parents got to go and check out everything.

Boys Summer Vacation Week 1

The boys are THRILLED to be out of school for the summer. Both boys attended Charger Baseball Camp the 1st week out of school for the summer.  It was a hot four day for these two but hopefully they learned a little more about baseball-apparently Camden got a lot out of it...he made all stars this year in T-ball...more to come!
