1st lost tooth

Well it's about time...Cam finally lost his first tooth.  We thought he would never lose it.  He pulled it all by himself. 

Cam's 7th birthday

On Cam's 7th birthday, we celebrated with a backyard Fall bash.  Hay ride, smores etc...Cam received a camo bb gun.  He plans on doing some serious squirrel hunting.

On October 23rd, Cade Carter was playing football for his team "Crush" and that is exactly what he did to his wrist/arm...he crushed it.  It was the last play of the game and Cade Carter asked Hank (the coach) could he play a center sneak...Hank told him sure-go for it... Well it was a beautiful play...just like the NFL's and he was about to score and dang it if he didn't get tackled and rolled his wrist right down on the ground.  I knew when he did it that it was B-R-O-K-E...I went out to the field and Hank said "go get the car!!!!!"  We headed to Memphis Ortho's Saturday clinic and verified it was broke for sure...(like we couldn't figure that out?)  The bone was not quite piercing his skin, but it was definitely positioned in an akward manner.  Hank & I felt so sorry for him.  We just wanted to take away his pain.  We saw Dr. Grinspun and he counseled with us and he felt like he could set the bones back into place.  Need me to remind you without anesthesia.  Well the doctor performed that very painful procedure on our baby.  We really thought we had it nipped in the bud until we went back for our 2nd Xray a week and and a half later and discovered the bone had shifted.  Guess what we had ahead of us the very next morning-SURGERY!!!  We went to Mid Town Surgery Center and they were great!  Cade Carter was so unsure and anxious about being put to sleep but he did great! Thank the Lord...Hank & I were just as anxious and Cade Carter!

Not sure if everyone has seen the movie "Taladaga Nights" with Will Ferrell or not but if you've heard the saying "Shake and Bake," you will understand these pictures! 

These two were in Ms JoLea's 1st grade classroom and the spelling words were shake,

bake (long a sounds) along with other long "a "words...well when these two came to the word "shake" the other one yelled out "bake" and well, you know the rest of the story if you've seen the movie...WHAT A PAIR!
