The Things Us Moms DO!

I attended Crestview Middles School's PTO meeting last week and once again, I'm in charge of "BOX TOPS!"   It's amazing how many just my household collects.  If you aren't already and you do NOT have a child to collect for-send the box tops to me.  The school would appreciate it since it's easy money.  So you family members out there who are reading this HELP US OUT PLEASE!

Friday Night Football

Ella James, Cam & Carly

These three had an awesome time going to a Charger Football game.  Covington played Munford which is always a HUGE event in C-Town...Lots of rivalry there.  Needless, to say WE WON!!! Go Chargers!  We all went out for Mexican and then the game.  When Cam is with these two girls,  he treats them just like the guys.  I guess it's because they've been together since they were 4 years old in preschool.  Ella James always tells her Mama she "likes" Cam and we always laugh about it. But right now, they are just having fun!!

Saturday FUN!!!

This past weekend, Hank had to go to Chicago on business so me and the boys hung out.  I was sad to see him go.  I hate when he has to fly out and I not get to go.  I could have gone, but who wants to be alone in Chicago all day?  Hand did get to go out at night and do a little sight seeing.  He sent us and boys a few pics from his iPhone. Again, just like my other iPhone posts, these pics are grainy looking.

Papa Sam took the boys to see the movie, Expendables 2-My boys love blood and war...yuck...they said it was awesome.  I opted to go to Memphis with my friend Jaime and a BUNCH of other friends' KIDS-(Never get an adult day, do we?)  Jaime and I are now in charge of the concessions at Crestview Middle so we got to go buy lots of JUNK to fill it up.  We then went to eat lunch and treat the kids to GiGi's cupcakes...I had never been but I WILL BE GOING BACK!
In this box you would have found a wedding cake cupcake, a chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake and last but not least, a rocky road cupcake.  They are ALL GONE!

After the boys movie, we all met up and went to the Hunter House for an afternoon of Volleyball with all the neighborhood kids.  Never a dull moment at the Hunter's.
It was a nice weekend.

Boy's First Golf Tournament

If anyone knows how to make an iPhone pic look halfway decent on blogger, please fill me in.  They look great on iPhones, but put them on here....they look horrible.  Lately, all I ever have is my iPhone to take pics with because I always forget my camera.

OK-now for my story...

Cade Carter & Cam both were in their first golf tourney at the Country Club.  They both have been taking lessons all summer and the lessons ended with a Jr Golf tournament.  Paw Paw took them out to the club some and taught them a few tricks.

Cam came in 3rd in his age division.  He got a trophy, medal and lots of goodies. Look out Paw Paw, we might have another pro golfer!

Cade Carter got a little frustrated at times, but he managed to get through it.  I mean getting a little ball in a hole in the ground is hard work, right?  :)

Baseball Post

Ever since April our life has been surrounded by baseball with Cam.  Practice and more practice lead to games and more games.  Games lead to tournaments and then All Stars.
Jacob and Cam- Best Friends with Mohawks
Cam has wanted a mohawk for a very long time, and my dear friend JoLea called me one day at work and said "I'm taking them for mohawks since they made all stars and I told her "GO AHEAD" but I'm not telling Hank."  We later sent him a pic via mobile and believe it or not he wasn't mad. He was laughing so hard it didn't matter.  But my mother was so MAD.  It's just hair...who cares....right?

Loved their all star uniforms.
Cam's up to bat.

Ms Glenn's 3rd Grade Class

Well we all started back to school today.  Cade Carter was ready and willing and Cam told me that he hated school.  Nothing changed over the summer.  Cam hasn't miraculously decided he liked school or anything like that.  The good news is that his class from last year looped-which means the same kids will be together this year too in Ms Glenn's class.  Looping is something new and it is supposed to be better for learning in the long run.  With Cam's inability to focus (another post about that later) it will be great for him. Ms. Glenn knows Cam and how he learns best and tries to keep him focused.  Bless her heart...Poor Ms Glenn.  But on the flip side the whole class celebrated at the Country Club with a Back to School Bash Swimming Party.

Cade Carter is 12!

Well, it's that time of year again...school begins, we stress over clothing, school supplies and let's not forget it's Cade Carter's 12th birthday!  My little tween will soon be a TEEN this time next year.  Oh, where does the time go?  Cade Carter is as tall as me right now.  I know, I know...I'm super short, but 5'1 for a 6th grader is tall.  I am so proud of him-he is such a well mannered boy who knows right from wrong and has a heart on him like no other.  He truly cares for people and his sweet nature makes me so proud of him.  OK, ...I'm gonna stop before I cry-he's my BIG BOY!! I'm sure I'm embarrassing him.
We celebrated by having a sleepover, swimming and going to the movies to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid "Dog Days!"  If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.  It was great! Good Clean Fun! The mother's name in the movie is "Susan" and Hank says that I act just like her. Not sure if that's a good  or bad thing.  She's a little nerdy...The funny and ironic thing is that the father's name is "Frank" -Do you see where I'm going with this?  And they have two boys...The movie is based on Cade Carter the  (middle school aged Greg) who wants to stay indoors and play video games all summer...As I watched the movie, I felt like it was about the Sampson's.  :)  Just go see it!

It's not a birthday without cake...if you are wondering why there is a gun on the cake...It's the Call of Duty (X-BOX GAME) Can you tell that my little tween is all about his X-BOX!

Party all night, and I mean it was ALL NIGHT!
These boys like to party, last weekend to stay up all night before school starts on Wednesday.

SUMMER SWIMMING

Lots of time this past summer was spent swimming...either in pools or at the lake.  The boys would rather be swimming than doing anything else.  We are begging Daddy Hank to put a pool in and maybe one day we will...but I really feel like it would be totally worth it if we can just do a little more begging and pleading-and of course raise the money too.  I told the boys that maybe they could get a job and help pay for it.   That didn't go over to well.

This pic was taken at Ripley Water Park.  Cam's All Star Baseball team had a party there to celebrate the end of the season.

Me and John Bradley...he is the sweetest child...and he really likes me for reason?  I guess it's because I would catch him at the end of the water slide for his Mama Jolea.

Cade Carter, the olympic swimmer and his tricks.

Here comes Cam!
