The Glenn Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve with Paw Paw and MeMe. The boys got 10 presents a piece and I thought they were never going to quit opening them. MeMe likes to buy one big gift and a lot of little ones to go with it because she knows the kids love to open the gifts. It's so much fun just watching them! This year Cam's favorite thing to say was "OH MY GOSH" when he opened a gift. It was so cute! Now I have to find a place to store all the Wii games, John Deere tractors and clothes. We all had a wonderful Christmas Eve except for the fact that "Aunt" Sarah didn't get to come with DiDi. Mr. Merrill came down with a fever & Sarah's so concerned with the cancer that she didn't feel like being in the Christmas Spirit. We all understood and pray that the treatments will help Mr. Merrill and we will continue to keep her Dad and everyone in the family in our prayers.

Ok, we are all so aware of the "Dirty Santa" but this year, Grandmother Carter got the "Dirty Santa!" Someone (have no clue who would of brought such a gift) gave Christmas thongs and no one but of course, Grandmother Carter opened them up! What a laugh we got! In the end Uncle Chris couldn't help himself and ended up stealing them from Grandmother! Uncle Chris, your such a BAD BOY!

Christmas at Papa Sam's and Mama Linda's!

It's all about the "John Deere"

We had Christmas this weekend in Humboldt and Papa Sam & Mama Linda gave the boys new bikes. Cade Carter got a "big boy bike" and Cam got (of course, nothing but the best) a John Deere Bike w/ training wheels. The boys had absolutely no idea what they were getting this year and they were so surprised when we made them cover there eyes and come out to the garage!

This past Saturday morning we had a early little visitor, Landen Rose. Landen's daddy "Mr. Blake" had a horrible virus that sent him to the emergency room early morning and we were the lucky ones that were chosen to keep little Landen. The boys were so surprised when they woke up to Baby Landen! It was strange having a baby around the house, I kinda forgot how to handle one, but it came back to me real fast. We are so thankful Mr. Blake is better now even though we miss babysitting Landen.

One night this past week, Cam decides he's going to put on knee pads, elbow pads and and go for a skate through the house. He thinks he's got it going on...

Patriot Bank Christmas Party

Hank and I went to Patriot Bank's Christmas party a couple of weeks ago and we got a snapshot of us. It's not too often we get one made together. It's usually one of us with the kids-but never just us two.

Cam's Christmas Program

Camden's class at nursery school reinacted Jesus's birth and Cam chose to be a sheep. He did an excellent job crawling all over the floor and baaing to everyone. He never ceases to amaze me when it came time to sing. HE ACTUALLY PARTICIPATED THIS YEAR. He normally will stand up in front of everyone and say "Don't Laugh At Me or Clap for Me and I mean it." He doesn't like to be the center of attention when he performs shows at school, I guess he gets embarassed. But this year he sang "Rudolph" and "We wish you a Merry Christmas" and did a wonderful job. WE are all so proud of him.

It's beginning to "taste" a lot like Christmas!

It's beginning to taste a lot like Christmas around the Sampson home. So far we've made Fruit Balls, Peanut Butter Balls, Inside out Oreo truffles and chocolate covered pecans. I think that's enough for now. We plan on freezing some so we'll have some for Christmas when we have the Sampson Clan over to our house. I as always had assistance with all the candy making, and yes they were sneaking some of those peanut butter balls left and right. I enjoy cooking with the kids and hopefully they will always make time to share this family tradition with their Mama every year during the holidays.

Breakfast with Santa!

This cold Saturday morning me and the boys attended Junior Auxiliary's "Breakfast with Santa." We chatted with Santa and told him once again what all we expected on Christmas morning. As you can see in the picture of Cade Carter he took awhile. We had an excellent time with Miss Mylea and Cam's "best buddy" Ella James. Even "Daddy" Hank stopped by and visited with us!

UNO

Remember the game UNO? Well Cade Carter's present for being a good boy from the elf included a deck of cards UNO! I remember as a child and early adult that I loved the game and would play it for hours! Cade Carter and his Big Mama had a game Sunday Night. Hank is enjoying playing it again too, because he promises to play a game to Cade Carter after homework every night. Don't forget to say UNO!

2008 Christmas Parade

The annual Covington Christmas parade was Monday night and the kids got to ride in the back of one of Hank's trucks from Country Chevrolet. Hank ended up sitting in the back with the kiddos and I got to drive. Cade Carter invited his friend, Austin to go along and Camden invited his buddy, Slade to go too. (If one's got a friend over the other has to have one too) But all that matters is that they had a blast throwing candy at everyone.

Our Sunday Class had our annual Christmas Party this year. We decided to have a progressive dinner this year and it was so much fun! We had lots of fellowship, good food and lots of laughs. We had appetizers at the Beasleys, dinner at the Naifeh's and dessert at the Owen's. Their homes were so festive for the Christmas Season. We played dirty Santa and the gifts went beyond our expectations (some below standards) LOL! We all got a little red faced at some of the presents we opened but it was a party that will never be forgotten!

It's snowing!

Seriously, no snow today but we did make some. This little scoop of this powdery substance makes several cups of snow. It is a great invention! You just add water and POOF you have snow. The boys made some to go around our Christmas villages...They loved it!

Make believe camp out!

Friday Night Camp out in our Den! Something about Boys and camping out. They wanted to sleep their all night but we talked them out of it!

Cam's Wildlife Tree

Cam wanted a wild life tree this year so we've got lots of cool ornaments that consist of some type of nature on it. After it was all decorated, he went to his playroom and came back with an armful of John Deere Tractors, trucks, backhoe's etc... He placed each John Deere item in the tree, and he placed more, and he placed more, and he placed more....I finally had to tell him that the tree will not hold much more but he said "Mom, I'm decorating, now leave me alone." Typical Camden!

Elroy has arrived!

Elroy the elf arrived at the Sampson Home this week. Awaiting him was hot chocolate to drink because it was a long trip from the North Pole and he was very cold. The boys have been on their best behavior because they know that the elf reports to Santa every night and if they are bad, no presents for them. They got to open their first present of the 25 days of Christmas on Monday and they got rubber snakes-YUCK!!! Hopefully tonight's present will be less scary and more festive!
