"A Place at the Lake"

Thanks to Paw Paw, the Sampson's and Glenn's now have a place at Sardis Lake.  Me, Sarah and Mom were a little shocked when Paw Paw did this.  Now it's no luxury condo or anything but it's a place to escape during the warm months.  Sarah and I painted, and painted, and painted some more to update this very old trailer.  See, we call it the "Pink Palace" because well...it's P-I-N-K!!!  We packed one of the bedrooms full of bunk beds and a full bed.  I'll post more pics at a later time...Thanks Paw Paw!

This is SO my boys!

1st Day of School

School has begun for these two boys.  Cade Carter was ready for school to start but Cam not so much.  He'd rather stay home and play with his tractors all day or ride his bike.  As you can see Cam started the 1st grade.  His teacher is Ms JoLea Francis Boren.  He really likes her so far even though she makes him do school work.  LOL!

Cade Carter has two teachers this year since he is now in 4th grade.  They co-teach-which is really neat.  They are Ms Sarah Cousar and Mr Darren Rose.  Mr Rose is the first male teacher Cade Carter has had so "no babying" for him.  MeMe's class is right next door to Cade Carter's room so the child's got it made.  He sees her all day long!  I'm going to miss "my mother" working at school next year because she has hinted to me several times that this is probably her last year to work!  BOO HOO!  She's been with my kids since day one at Crestview Elementary and it's going to feel so strange without her there next year!  What will I do?

We celebrated your 10th birthday with a sleepover!

I cannot believe it's been 10 years to the day that my little boy was born.  Being in labor for 12 hours without an epidural working which eventually lead to a c-section resulted in one of the most joyous days of my life.  We are so proud of you-you have become such a well mannered young man.  Everyone always comments on how caring and what great manners you have, not to mention how smart you are!  Even your teachers at school.  You make us proud!

What to do on a HOT SUMMER DAY?

This picture is just part of the line up against my bedroom wall.  This my friends is Camden's daily routine.  He lines his farm equipment up every day.  This child is as country as cornbread...his dream is to be a farmer one day.  He will lay in the floor for hours and play farming.  He is so content by himself playing with his tractors and trucks on these hot and long summer days.

Eddysville, Kentucky

We ended the last weekend before school officially started by taking a road trip to Eddysville, Kentucky to a water park called Venture River.  It's in the middle of "no where," but it was a lot of fun.  As you can see, Hank had just as much fun as the boys...yes, that's him coming down the slide.

Patty's Settlement at LBL is just down the road from the water park so we couldn't resist going to Patty's and eat dinner.  The kids had a blast playing too! 

We had a great time on our little weekend trip.  It was hot, but fun was had by all!
