January Snow '2010

What a blast we all had when it snowed on January 30th.  Snow covered the highway completely but we still managed to take a trip out to DiDi & Aunt Sarah's to go sledding in their fields by the lake.  It was beautiful out there!  I personally thought it was to cold, therefore, I mostly stayed on the inside drinking my coffee.  The Elder family came down the hill for a visit and all the boys had a blast! Can you tell they are freezing?
These boys said it's time for hot cocoa by the fire.
Can you believe these girls got out in the snow to bring us PIZZA?  Gotta love 'em!!!

The next day we stayed close to home and went sledding on the hills around our house.  We have gotten so
much use out of Hank's Polaris Ranger!  I thought we would never use it-boy was I mistaken!

Austin Rose, Cade Carter, Cam and John Ethan Smith

Cam invited John Ethan over for a little sledding! These boys loved it!!!

This is me with my teeth chattering-I called it a day!

All About US!

My upcoming blog posts for the next year may be very boring to some.  But this year I am focusing more on what my family enjoys...eating, playing and having fun.  I want my boys to remember their favorite food we prepared and the recipes that go along with them.  I want them to remember the projects we started and never finished...LOL (and of course the ones we INDEED finished)   I want to feature the many before and after pics so the boys can see the results and someday be able to say.."Remember when...Dad built us that treehouse?"  Which by the way for the blog followers out there...THE TREEHOUSE IS BUILT!! lol

Scrapbooking is a thing of the PAST!

Over the past few years (Since 2002) I have scrapbooked.  Both my boys have their own scrapbook up until they are about 3-4 years old.  I spent timeless hours on these books that I wouldn't give anything for in the world.  These books are for my boys who I hope will appreciate someday.  I cannot begin to count the many trips to Memphis to the scrapbook stores spending LARGE amounts of money on stickers, paper, scissors etc...Well gals and girls, scrapbooking is a thing of the past now...Welcome my Blog Book...

Over the past few months, I've been creating my 2009 Blog Book.  (That's the main reason I haven't blogged in many months.)  My relatives can even go online and purchase their own book if they wish for less than $50!  Amazing!

I'm so proud of my book.  I love technology! I've posted a link to my book on the sidebars of my blog!  Check it out!

On another note, I'm learning how to do layouts for blogs...I truly enjoy all this fun digital scrapbooking...I'm a slow learner but hopefully I can teach myself!  Happy Blogging to all!

DiDi-the deer slayer!

DiDi brought his deer by the house to show the boys-YUCKO!  Dustin has been so awesome to Cade Carter this hunting season.  He took him hunting when Hank was gone out of town and bless Cade Carter's heart, he fell asleep and missed a doe.  Hopefully he will soon get his own deer!

Santa was good to us!

Santa was so good to us this year!  He brought the boys exactly what they asked for and more.  Cade Carter asked for a gun so he could go hunting with his Dad.  And the only thing Cam requested was a trailer for his back hoe...As you can see in the picture he got his John Deere trailer.  I on the other hand woke up to a new Espresso Machine from Starbucks.  I couldn't believe my eyes-my poor refurbished machine had it's last day on Christmas Eve and somehow Santa found out and brought me another one!  How did he know?

Christmas at our home!

Chris, Jodi and Big Mama pose for a quick snapshot!

For the past few years, we've had Big Mama's Christmas at our home.  I enjoy entertaining the family, not to mention I let Britt take over my kitchen and get to cooking.  Britt loves to cook!  She made her awesome homemade fried ravioli and I made my homemade spaghetti.  It was an Italian night! After dinner, we opened presents and I enjoyed sitting back watching the boys open their gifts.  I would rather just sit and watch them for hours...their expressions-not to mention yells when they open up something that they REALLY wanted.

Dirty Santa strikes AGAIN!

Who doesn't like a good laugh?  Yes, Dirty Santa struck again. Boy, did my mom get embarassed.  Even Cam got so cracked up he couldn't stop laughing. When my mom starts laughing I can always promise you that you will see tears, because she laughs uncontrollably-not to mention my crazy cousin, Lesley.  You get them two together and boy, you've got a lot of giggling going on together.

A picture is worth a thousand words, need I say more?

                                                               Gotta love them thongs!

Keith just sat back at laughed! For once, the joke wasn't on him!

Glenn Christmas

On Christmas Eve, we all gathered at my Mom & Dad's house for our Christmas Exchange.  Mimi always cooks an entire meal all by herself.  (With a little of Dad's help, too!)  Dad grills the streaks!  Big Mama always comes too and gets to watch the boys open all their presents.  MiMi loves to buy presents and watch the boys open them up...she wraps EVERYTHING!!!
