More Fun pics from Memorial Day Weekend!

Due to all the rain, we went out to dinner Sunday night at a place called "Patty's" AKA Pork Chop Patty's in Land Between the Lakes. The Williams really bragged on how great the food is and boy were they right! It was awesome! It's a little village right off the river where there's animals to look at and several shops to browse in-the kids had an awesome time and we are so thankful for a rainy weekend that turned into loads of fun for us and the kids!!

Memorial Day Weekend!

Boys and their FROGS!! YUCK!!

Bath Time!

Gone Fishin'

This past Memorial Day weekend we went to the TN river and stayed with the Williams Family. We got out on the boat for maybe two hours and then came the rain Saturday night. Even though it rained, don't think these kids didn't have some fun. They caught a frog, YUCK! and of course the boys had to take a bath afterwards. Since it was raining outside they decided to do a little fishing from the top of the bunk beds (talk about creative) The next morning, Mr. Nelson took the kids down to the river for some real fishing which they enjoyed until AGAIN the rain came.

Cam's Nursery School Graduation

Cam did it! He graduated from nursery school and is headed to Kindergarten! I thought I would cry but as it turned out I didn't! I know how excited and ready Cam is for Kindergarten so I was just happy because he was happy!

1st homerun!

Cade Carter on deck about to hit his home run!

If you look real close, you can see the ball!

All the team went crazy-yelling for Cade Carter-check out his face!!!!!!
Ever since Cade Carter was only 4 years old he's played t-ball. Let's face it, Cade Carter really didn't like ball. But we'd go to every game hoping he would at least learn how to play the sport and learn technique. Every spring we asked him, "Do you want to play ball this year and he'd always say "I guess so." (no enthusiasm whatsoever) Well last year was his 1st year of coach pitch and this is usually the time I feel as if the child wants to continue with the sport-encourage it, but if he wants to step back and look into other sports, we should. But Cade Carter decided to play and his performance last year in ball was good. But this year when he started practicing and showing us what he's got-he is awesome. Four years ago, this 4 year old who was playing with dirt in the outfield is now making homerun's, pitching and being catcher and playing a great ball game that Mom and Dad are just as into as he is! Last week Cade Carter made his first home run and my friend Holli had her AWESOME camera and captured a KODAK MOMENT! Check it out-and thanks Holli Rose-I owe you!

Time is drawing near...

We attended a handyman shower Saturday night for DiDi. All his buddies got together and had a fish fry and considering Hank is allergic to fish I indulged since I never get to eat it at home...Hank says even the smell makes him sick??? Poor Hank, he missed out on wonderful food but he managed to get through the shower without an allergic reaction! Just seeing all of Dustin's friends showed me how blessed he is in friendship. Until June 6th!!!

I've had so many things to scan on the computer lately, I ran across this one. I was awarded employee of the quarter at work! I know, I hate to brag...but it really meant a lot to me when Mr. Charles announced it. All I know is banking-and I can honestly say I love my job. I work with great people and enjoy customer contact every day. (Not to mention our lobby is beautiful!) LOL!! It's always nice walking into a beautiful atmosphere every day--again I'm very grateful.

We are so proud of BoBo!!!

After many months of waiting for the all clear-BoBo's bank in Brighton has finally opened! This past Saturday we attended the grand opening of Trust Company Bank. BoBo is president and we are so proud of him for accomplishing his life long dream. The boys had a blast as you can see on the slide and KJ the Cardinal was the coolest bird they've met! We all wish BoBo all the luck with the bank.

Awana Award Night

Hank & I are so proud of the boys! They each received Awana Awards and was recognized at the award ceremony. Cade Carter's class sited the entire New Testament in front of the audience. He was so proud! Over the past year, Cade Carter has learned so much about the Bible and his teachers at Awana are the reason for that-They are Awesome! Camden memorized 26 Bible verses and recevied patches for his vest all during the year. He was promoted to the Sparks Club now since he is going to Kindergarten. Awana will begin back in September so the kids will have a little break for the summer. Again, this program every week is wonderful and since my children do not get Bible at Crestview, this serves a purpose in my life and most importantly theirs!

Being a Mom!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day this year, but I failed to get my camera out all weekend?!? But the boys made gifts for me at school and church and these pictures are worth a million words! In addition to all the art that the boys made, I received potted plants from each child and Hank planted me six azalea bushes! Hank's labor in planting all the bushes meant a lot to me! On Mother's Day night, instead of going out this year we provided dinner at our house for many mothers. Amongst the guests were MiMi and Paw Paw, DiDi, Sarah & Patti, Big Mama, BoBo, TaTa, Britt and Chance. All of us enjoyed Mother's Day together honoring all the moms!

Check out these turkeys!

My brother is an avid hunter. He spends just about every day hunting and when he's not actually hunting he's thinking about it. (wish I had his time) If I see Dustin's truck pull up on an early Saturday or Sunday morning, I know he's killed something. Well this past Saturday DiDi and his friend Craig stopped by with these two turkeys. The boys got feathers from them as mementos.

The Secret Handshake

Hank & Cade Carter have a secret and (special) handshake. Usually when one does a good job at something-this is what happens...
