Ruby

In February I introduced our two new kittens, Max & Ruby. Well Max went to heaven a few weeks ago, we won't go into any gory details but he's in a better place. We still have Ruby the black cat. Cam treats this cat like a baby. In the morning he goes outside on the porch and talks to her and says "Come here sugarbaby!" Who says little boys need a puppy, our cat is just great! By the way, Cam is in his spiderman costume because we had been to John Owen Hensley's pretend play birthday. It was lots of fun with lots of PRETEND PLAY!!

Birthday + Fishing= Awesome Fun!

We attended Anna Reese's 4th birthday party which consisted of lots of playing and fishing. Cam had a blast and even had a few bites. It was a day full of ball games, fishing and more ball games. It was a long Saturday but filled with fun.

I could adopt this child, isn't she adorable!

This kid's kinda handsome too!

Cam's nursery school class went to Crestview Elementary to check out what's ahead for them come Fall. They all toured the school and Crestview even threw in a free lunch and ice cream. As you can see Cam's favorite activity was play time. As you can see he grabbed a mixer in the housekeeping area and looked over at me and yelled "MAMA, LOOK, it's a mixer just like Paula Deen!"
That's my son...

Cam loving the mixer with his friend, Sarah.

Cam thinking "I kinda like this kindergarten stuff...this computer is awesome and just my size!"

Cam's Classroom

Following in line with hands behind the back following the arrows on the floor (very quietly!)

All the kids had to stop and check out the salt water aquarium with all the clown fish in it.

The infamous Ms. Millie explaining to the class that her classroom does not learn the color orange. When she asked the kids what happens when they see orange they all said in unison "We throw UP!" I'm glad Cam's a U of M fan!

Rain, Rain Go Away! Last Sunday it rained all day long. The kids were disappointed they didn't get to go outside and play. But around 4:30 in the afternoon Cam went out on our front porch and started yelling "Yall come here!!! It's a rainbow!" And the rain stopped. This was the largest and most perfect and beautiful rainbow I've ever seen. God is beautiful!

Spring Break 2009

Posted by PicasaThis year during Spring Break we all kinda took it a little easy. Cade Carter spent the 1st half of the week over his buddy Austin's house and Cam went to play with John Ethan. Then I ended up with the yucky virus and found myself in the bed for a couple of days. Come Thursday, I was bound and determined that the kids were going to have some fun! I took them to the park and had we had a picnic. Hank went along too and it showed us that it doesn't take much to entertain these kiddos.

Paula Deen

Here's Paula greeting you at the door of her home!

I thought this area of the restaurant was cool because it's the dessert bar named after her grandson, Jack.

Love the baskets!!!

Posted by PicasaThis past weekend Hank & I went to Tunica to Harrah's and had lunch at Paula Deen's. Since I absolutely adore Paula Deen this was a very big treat for me. Hank on the other hand could care less because all he cared about was the eating. I on the other hand had to tour all through the restaurant and take pics! The restaurant is a replica of her southern home in Savannah, Georgia where her Paula Deen shows are filmed. The decorating of her home was just my cup of tea...I always enjoy seeing people's homes and enjoying their designs they've chosen-it's sort of became a hobby for me. Thanks Hank, for taking me! Maybe we can make it down to Savannah real soon! LOL!

Baby Kayson

It's so good to see baby Kayson out and about! Wish he'd wake up!! He's always sleeping, but it's so good that he is doing well and our prayers have been answered for a healthy baby! It was great to have Kayson at Easter Dinner!

Meet Ava Elizabeth

I caught her yawning-ahhh so precious!

My dear friend, Mylea finally had baby Ava Elizabeth last Monday. She weighed in at 9lbs and 4 oz. She is the most precious thing, and she looks just like her big sister Ella James. Mylea and I have been friends since we were little girls and I just knew when we grew up she would have boys and I would have all girls...See, Mylea was a little bit of a tom boy and I was the one that was such the girly girl. Now as adults, it's so funny that she's got all girls, and I ended up with the boys...God's mysterious ways, once again! We love our kids-no doubt! Congrats Mylea, Jim and Ella James! We love you!

Here comes Peter Cottontail!

Our church always has a beautiful Palm Sunday Service with lots of beautiful music while all our children wave palm leaves throughout the sanctuary. This year Camden was embarrassed and didn't want to participate (as you can see) he would walk by me and Hank and hide his face. Why do our children decide to be shy the time we REALLY need them to participate? Well, Cade Carter had no problem participating. HOWEVER, after the service we had our annual egg hunt and as you can see in the pictures you will notice that Cade Carter is no where to be found hunting eggs. He decided this year that he was to "OLD" to participate. It was so sad for me!

"By wisdom a house is built,
by understanding it is established,
and by knowledge the
rooms are filled
with all precious
and pleansant riches."
